Collaborative technology has made dramatic advances in the last five years. In consequence we are able to describe a highly successful "pan-Canadian" seminar series in which scientists and engineers as much as 5,000 kilometers apart experience true "presence-at-a-distance." We provide sufficent detail---technological and organizational---to allow interested readers to join our series or to initiate a similar seminar or colloquium series for themselves.
